A timer, not a teacher
TimerBox marks the time. You choose the practice. Set a length, choose a sound, and press Start.
You can use breath focus, a body scan, quiet sitting, or another method you know. The timer doesn't judge the method or promise a result.
How long should I set it for?
Choose a time that feels manageable today. A short session is still a full session. Add or remove time the next time you sit.
There's no minimum that works for everyone. The session counter records each run you finish, and it stays in this browser.
What do the interval bells do?
An optional bell can ring during the session, every 1, 2, 5, or 10 minutes. Use it as a mark in your practice.
Leave the bell off if it pulls your attention away. The start and end sounds can still mark the main session.
What are warmup and cooldown?
Warmup adds a short phase before the main clock, so you have time to sit down and get ready. Cooldown adds a quiet phase after the main time ends.
Both phases are optional. Dim display lowers the light from the clock during the main phase. Move or tap to see the time again.
What if meditation feels bad?
Meditation is not risk-free for every person. Stop if the practice causes distress or makes a symptom worse. Use support from a qualified health professional when you need it.
The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health has a plain review of possible benefits, limits, and safety findings.
How do I start?
Set a time. Sit in a position that is safe and comfortable for you. Press Start, and let the end sound mark the finish.
Interval bells, warmup, cooldown, and dim display are in the card beside the timer.
