What does an interval timer do?

An interval timer moves between a work phase and a rest phase, and repeats that pair for the number of rounds you choose. The clock handles each change, so you don't have to count in your head.

Which presets are included?

Tabata is set to 20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest, and 8 rounds. The Tabata page opens with those values ready.

30/30 uses equal work and rest. 40/20 uses a longer work phase. EMOM starts a new 60-second round with no separate rest phase, and boxing runs 3-minute rounds with 1-minute rests.

How do I make a custom plan?

Set the work time, rest time, and round count. The page shows the full session length before you start. Choose a sound if you need an audio cue when the phase changes.

You can pause, resume, or reset the session. The current phase, round, and time stay on the main display.

Can I use it outside exercise?

Yes. Use short rounds for music drills, speaking practice, classroom turns, or any task that repeats. The labels still say Work and Rest, but the clock only cares about the times.

Exercise safety

The timer does not set a safe level of effort. Choose work that fits your current fitness and skill. Start gently if hard intervals are new to you.

Stop if you feel pain, feel faint, or have another worrying symptom. Ask a health professional before hard intervals if a health condition could affect exercise. The American Heart Association guidance explains why near-maximum exercise needs extra care.
