About TimerBox

TimerBox is a free online timer that keeps each run tied to the clock.

Most web timers count browser ticks, and a hidden tab gets fewer of them. The display falls behind. TimerBox anchors every run to clock time instead, so when you come back to the tab it checks the clock and catches up. A sleeping device can still hold the alarm until it wakes.

Eleven timers

  • Countdown counts down from a set time. Presets from one to sixty minutes, or type your own.
  • Stopwatch counts up to the centisecond and records laps with splits.
  • Pomodoro cycles work and break sessions, keeps a history, and exports it as CSV.
  • Interval alternates your own work and rest periods for a set number of rounds.
  • Tabata starts at 20 seconds on, 10 off, eight rounds.
  • HIIT starts at 40 on, 20 off. Change the times and rounds to fit the workout.
  • Meditation times your sit with optional warmup, cooldown, interval bells, and a dim display.
  • Breathe paces box breathing, 4-7-8, and custom patterns with an expanding circle.
  • Visual shows time as a shrinking disc. No numbers to decode.
  • Classroom puts the visual timer in a layout a whole room can read.
  • Countdown to a date counts the days, hours, and minutes to any event, with a link to share.

For streams

The stream builder makes overlay and full-screen timers for OBS and any browser source. Pick a theme, set the colors, copy one URL. That URL is the whole setup.

No account

There's nothing to sign up for. Your settings and session history stay in your browser, and the Pomodoro CSV export happens there too. The stream timer's embed sends a small usage report about the options in use, which you can switch off. The privacy policy has the full list.

Install it

Install TimerBox from your browser for a quick launch and an app-like window. It's still a web app, so it needs a connection.
